MOBIUS/LANCE

Borrowing Information

MOBIUS links 60 Missouri academic libraries so that you can search their catalogs at one time and borrow books from these libraries by requesting them online.  A delivery service brings what you've ordered generally within 3-4  working days.  You will be notified by Truman e-mail when the books arrive.  Pick up and return books at the Library's Circulation Desk (University ID required).  There is no charge for this service. (NOTE:  You cannot order articles or videos through MOBIUS.) Material may be requested directly from the LANCE and MOBIUS catalogs.

Who May Borrow
Only Truman faculty, staff, and students are eligible to borrow materials.

Loan Period
Items requested through LANCE and MOBIUS:
21 days, with two renewals if the item is not needed elsewhere. You can renew them online through your Library account.

If books are not returned promptly, the user will be billed $120 (minimum) for
replacement costs.  This applies to all users.

Limits
LANCE Cluster level:
There is no limit on how many items can be checked out through the cluster, however Truman students are limited to 150 total items.  This could be in any combination of Truman materials and those obtained from other libraries.  The faculty limit is 300 items.

MOBIUS level:
There are specific limits through the MOBIUS agreement.
Undergraduates, graduate students, and staff are permitted to have 20 items checked out through MOBIUS. Faculty may have 30 items checked out at any given time.
