EndNote:  Importing Citations from
American Chemical Society Archives

You can mark the items you want and use the export feature to copy the bibliographic information in to EndNote.

If you have not already done so, create the library (database) in EndNote where you want to import the references.

  1. Search the ACS database as you normally would.
  2. Mark the references you want to export (Select Citation).
  3. When finished click on:  Download Selected Citations.
  4. Choose the type of download, and choose EndNote as your citation manager format.
  5. Click on DOWNLOAD, then OPEN.
  6. Select the EndNote library that you want to store the citations in.

Check to make sure  your references were imported correctly.
Once they are in your library (your database) you can edit them as desired.

For more information on citation management see the ACS website:  http://pubs.acs.org/journals/citation/index.html
