EndNote: Import Citations from
the Truman and MOBIUS Library Catalogs
Save citations in the catalog for importing into EndNote.
- Search the catalog as you normally would.
- Save desired records.
- Continue searching/marking as
desired. When the selection process is completed, select
in the Truman Catalog: Export Saved List near the top of the screen.
in the MOBIUS catalog: E-mail/Save/Print. - Under Format of List, choose EndNote/RefWorks.
- Under Send List To, select Local Disk. SUBMIT.
- Do you want to open or save this file? Click on Save.
- Select folder and file name where you want to save it.
- Click on Save. When download is complete, Close.
Import catalog citations into EndNote.
1. Start the EndNote program and open
your existing library (database) or create a new one.
2. Choose File from the tool bar and choose Import
(the Import screen will come up).
3. On the Import Screen there are boxes requiring input:
- Import Data File: Click on Choose File. Specify the directory and the name of the file you just saved. Click on Open and the information will be put in the provided box.
- Import Options: Choose Other Filters from the pull down menu. Scroll down the alphabetical list of filters. Mark INNOPAC.
- Duplicates: Specify desired option from the pull down menu.
After the file information has
been entered into the three provided boxes click on Import.
The file of the saved citations will be automatically
imported into your open EndNote library.
It is wise to check your references after importing to make sure
it was done correctly.
Once the documents are in your library
(your database) you can edit them as desired.
