EndNote:  Importing Citations from the
Criminal Justice Periodical Index

You can search the Criminal Justice Periodical Index and save citations to articles of interest directly into EndNote.
  1. If you have not already done so, create the EndNote Library (database) in which you want to import the references.
  2. Enter your search in the Criminal Justice Periodical Index database.
  3. MARK the references that you want to save.
  4. Click on EXPORT.
  5. Choose:  Download in a format compatible with ProCite, EndNote, Reference Manager and RefWorks.
  6. Go to the top of your browser and click FILE.   Choose SAVE AS.
  7. Name the file (be sure to note which folder it is going in), and save it as a .TXT file.
  8. Open your EndNote library that you want to store these in.
  9. Click on File.  Then IMPORT.
  10. Select the file of CJPI references you have just saved as a .txt file.
  11. Choose PROQUEST as your filter.

When finished, check your references to make sure they imported correctly.
