EndNote: Importing Citations from
EBSCOhost Databases

You can search any of the Ebsco databases and save citations to articles of interest directly into EndNote.

  1. If you have not already done so, create the EndNote Library (database) where you want to import the references.  (You can also put them in an existing EndNote Library.)
  2. Search EBSCOhost as you normally would.
  3. ADD each reference you want to save. (You can do this from the result list or separately from each record).
  4. On the RESULT LIST, select Folder Has Items at the top right area of the screen.
  5. Select All or, check individual ones you want to export.
  6. Click on Export.
  7. Click on Direct Export to EndNote, then Save.
  8. After a few moments you will be asked to Select a Reference Library.
  9. Choose the EndNote Library where you want the references to go.

The program should take it from there.  After importing, check your records to make sure they imported correctly.

When you are in EndNote, you can go to the corresponding article citation in EBSCOhost----just click on the link in the URL field.
