Pickler Library Services -Art Guide

Direct Patron Borrowing

PML's Library Catalog is part of a cluster of six academic libraries' holdings called LANCE.  The other institutions that are part of LANCE include Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Culver-Stockton College, Linn State Technical College, Hannibal-LaGrange College and Moberly Area Community College.   LANCE is one cluster among several that together form the statewide MOBIUS library consortium.  If you are needing a particular item not held in our library, you may simply search for that same item in MOBIUS and if another member library has the item, you can request it directly online.  To request an item from MOBIUS, you must know what "cluster" you are affiliated with [LANCE] and type in your valid Truman Banner ID number [9 digits] plus our campus code TSU.

Interlibrary Loan

You will often find references to material that we do not have in our library and cannot be borrowed through MOBIUS.  Interlibrary Loan can obtain books and articles for you from other libraries.  Books can be borrowed at no charge.  There is a cost of 10 cents per page for articles.   You may pick up request forms at the Reference Desk, fill out the online interlibrary loan forms, or order directly through most FirstSearch databases.

Reference Desk

A reference librarian is on duty until 10 pm every night except Saturday to help you with your research.  You may ask for help at any time.  If you have a particularly complex research problem you can make an appointment with a reference librarian to get extended assistance.

Computer Labs (PML 308 & 312)

Information Technology Services runs two open labs on the third floor.  They are open the same hours as the library. There are several Group Study rooms available in this area. These can be reserved with the lab consultant in 312, for 2 hour time slots, for 3 or more students. The  Teaching and Learning Technology Center on second floor is a specialized production lab where staff will help you scan and edit images and produce presentations.
