2:3 - De France Park |
|
The January 23, 1897 ice storm blanketed the entire city.
Although not positively identified, this icy wonderland is believed
to be the block owned by James M De France and bordered by Jefferson,
Mulanix, Pierce & Florence streets.
Known as “De France Park”, it was used as a public park by Kirksville
citizens and was the site of Kirksville’s first Chautauqua in 1905. |
