George C Farmer Sr and his son George C Jr were partners in the CG Farmer & Son Hardware Store on the Kirksville Square in the late 1890s and owned this home on Harrison St. There are too many people in the picture to be just the Farmer family, so the crowd possibly includes their roomers or maybe neighbors who just stopped to have their picture taken.
