Scope:  This collection  is comprised of documents from the holdings of the State Historical Society of Wisconsin. Pamphlet material includes sermons, reports, personal narratives, speeches etc, mostly from Northern Printers. Comprehensive Scope includes war years, antebellum sources, such as slavery and state rights topics, and postbellum materials, including memoirs and veteran's pension petitions.

How to search the collection:  Everything in this collection is cataloged in Truman's Library Catalog.  You can search for items in Truman's Library Catalog by keyword, subject, author and title.  In addition there is a guide called: The Civil War 1861-1865, Part One: The Bibliographic Guide to the Microfiche Collection (Microfiche Cabinet 58 Fiche AL-WS Guide).
