Scope: CoreFiche: Short Stories (also known as CoreFiche: Books Listed in Short Stories) is a microfiche collection containing approximately 5,500 stories by 1,000 authors. Some of the titles in this collection are difficult to obtain or are no longer in print. Corefiche is an on-going publishing enterprise in microform with additions being published in phases. Pickler Memorial Library has Phases I and II of CoreFiche: Short Stories.
How to search the collection: CoreFiche: Short Stories contains titles listed in Short Story Index. The short story collection is published in Phases I – II. The collection can be searched by author and/or title using the print guide, Roth’s Index to Short Stories (Microfiche Cabinet 5, Dr. 6 Guide). The fiche number indicated in the index directs you to the appropriate fiche containing the information you need. CoreFiche: Short Stories Phases I and II are cataloged in Truman's Library Catalog and are searchable by keyword, author and title within the catalog. The microfiche in the cabinet is arranged alphabetically by author.
