Scope: This collection provides memorandum,
newspaper articles and other documents concerning the shooting of four students
at Kent State University, Kent, Ohio on May 4, 1970, during a protest of the
Vietnam War, and the fire that consumed the university's ROTC building on May 2,
1970.

How to Search the Collection: This collection is contained on seven reels. There is a Table of Contents which is repeated at the beginning of each reel, but gives very little topical information:

As with other materials provided by the FBI, documents on the microfilm are in

chronological order, beginning with a memorandum from May 5, 1970, the day
following the shootings.
