GENERAL INFORMATION

Library users must show a current Truman ID, Community Borrower, or Designated Guest library card to check out materials.  Truman faculty/staff and their designated guests, or students who do not have a university ID should go to the ID Office (112 Kirk Building.)

Missouri residents at least 16 years of age may apply for a Community Borrower Library card at the Circulation Desk.  

Borrowers are responsible for all materials they check out, and they are expected to return materials when due.  Borrowers may be subject to overdue fines, processing/billing fees, damaged and/or lost book charges for library materials checked out on their cards.

All materials are subject to RECALL.

Number of items that may be out at one time:
   Faculty may have up to 300 items checked out at one time.
   Staff and designated guests may have 150 items out at one time.
   Truman students may have 150 items out at one time.
   Community borrowers may have 15 checked out at one time.

The library reserves the right to inspect all cases, bags, parcels, etc. to insure that all library materials are properly checked out.

Theft or mutilation of library materials or property could result in disciplinary action Truman State University.

The library reserves the right to suspend borrowing privileges for abuses of circulation policies. In accordance with Right to Privacy Laws, the registration and circulation records of all library users remain confidential.

Items in the following locations may not be checked out:
        Reference
        Periodicals
        Microforms
        Special Collections
