Requesting Books
MOBIUS
links 60 Missouri academic libraries so that you can search
their catalogs at one time. You can borrow books from
these libraries, requesting them online. A delivery
service brings what you've ordered generally within 3-4
working days. You will be notified by Truman e-mail when
the books arrive. Pick up and return books at the
Library's Circulation Desk (University ID required). You
can keep them for 21-days with two 21-day renewals if not needed
elsewhere. You can renew them online through your Library
account. There is no charge for this service. You
can have out up to 20 books at out at one time through MOBIUS.
(NOTE: You cannot order articles through MOBIUS.)
WorldCat. When MOBIUS
doesn't have what you need, you can try interlibrary loan.
WorldCat contains more than 85 million records for material in
libraries in the United States and around the world. You
can order online. Pick up and return books at the
Library's Circulation Desk (University ID required). These
items come in the mail and therefore take longer to arrive
than MOBIUS books. Loan periods are set by the lending
library. To renew, you must contact the Interlibrary Loan
Office. There is no charge for this service. (NOTE:
You cannot order articles through WorldCat.)
Requesting articles
Use Interlibrary Loan. You may be
request items by:
(1) Logging
onto Interlibrary Loan Services
(2) Ordering directly when using an
EBSCOHost or
FirstSearch
database.
(3) Filling out forms at the reference desk.
You cannot order articles through MOBIUS.
