How do I find information for my college assignments?

• Catalog   Tab - Our library’s collection of books, videos, periodicals, etc.
                          30-day checkout for most books
                          Renew online

• MOBIUS   Missouri academic library consortium - ONLY LOANS BOOKS.
                          Request online, items arrive usually within 3-4 working days
                          Notified by Truman e-mail when item arrives
                          21-day checkout, 2 renewals (if not needed elsewhere)
                          When requesting, note that we are part of LANCE. 

• Databases   Tab  Searches EBSCOhost Academic Search Elite to tell you which magazines, newspapers and journals have published articles on the topics you want.

  • More Databases  Provides lists of the 152 databases on all subject areas that Pickler Memorial Library subscribes to for Truman students, faculty and staff.  

    • Biological Abstracts 
      This database covers every major biology subject. It is very scholarly.
      

• Journals  Tab  Provides a search box for specific magazine, newspaper or journal titles.  Tells you where the periodical article is and if it is electronic or in print.  In the example below, you would need to look up Journal of Anatomy.
