Scope

Part 3: Oral Histories:  offers extensive transcribed oral history interviews not only with administration policy makers but also with a large number of activists from the civil rights movement. Part 4: Papers of the White House Conference on Civil Rights: is a comprehensive record of the most important civil rights conference of the Johnson years.”  It was called “To Fulfill These Rights” (June 1-2, 1966). Part V:  Records of the National Advisory Commission on Civil Disorders (Kerner Commission): contains all of the key records of the commission and is the best source of documentation for the study of the riots that shook the United States in the mid-1960s.” (LexisNexis).
