Scope

William Ashley Sunday was a professional baseball player for the Chicago White Stockings  from 1886-1888. He was also an evangelist.  His wife, Helen, managed his affairs and became an active minister after her husband’s death.  This  collection comprises:  their correspondence, including testimonials which tell how the writer or friend or relative benefited from Sunday’s preaching; revival files; sermons; press clippings; scrapbooks; photographs; receipts and check stubs;  and blueprints of tabernacles.

How to search the collection

There is a guide with a container list.  The material is listed by box, then within the box by date. The microfilm reel boxes have the box numbers on them (not to be confused with the reel numbers.)
