Scope
This collection of 2500 microfiche includes over 500 books, magazine articles, federal documents and newspaper items written from 1800-1865, including rare documents on the Lewis and Clark Expedition. The geographical scope includes the region lying between the Missouri River and the Sierra Nevadas from Mexico to the Arctic (excluding Texas and Louisiana). Subjects covered include the fur trade, Lewis and Clark, Mormon migrations, the Oregon trail, Indians, and railroad construction. The collection is based on: Wagner, Henry Raup, and Camp, Charles L.
