Connect From Off-campus
Options for accessing Library resources while off-campus.
Many of the library’s electronic resources, such as EBSCO databases, and JSTOR, have been configured so you can sign-in using your Truman credentials when you are off-campus without the need to use the VPN or Virtual Desktop – view.truman.edu. Use the Find your Institution or Sign in with your library option to be directed to Truman’s authentication page.
Please be aware that not all of our venders have enabled this type of authentication and you may still need to use the VPN or Virtual desktop.
- Virtual Private Network (VPN)- Use the link above to view directions provided by ITS for downloading and installing the VPN software.
- Virtual Desktop - https//view.truman.edu/In your browser, go to https//view.truman.edu and login with your Truman userid and password (choose the HTML access). You will have access to a virtual desktop where you can use all computer lab software (including library databases) just as if you were using a lab computer on campus.
